Downtown Steamboat Springs transforms from HWY 40 to Halloween Central on Sunday, October 31st from 5-7 PM. The merchants of downtown host this annual “see and be seen” event for not only the children of Steamboat Springs, but also for the adults that choose to dress up. Families often do themed costumes. Lincoln Avenue is closed from 5th to 11th Streets to allow for safe trick or treating. Merchants, service clubs, the fire department and sheriff’s office, and more pass out goodies. Be sure to bring your treat bag! Even if you choose not to dress up, just coming downtown to join in the stroll and see all of the creative costumes, you are welcome. And maybe you should stick around afterwards and have dinner. You won’t be disappointed.
