If living in Steamboat Springs wasn’t cool enough, another great perk of living in the “high country” is being in such close proximity to other great mountain towns. On Sunday after watching my coworkers participate in the Steamboat Triathlon and come in second for the women’s relay, my boyfriend and I did a short road trip over to Glenwood Springs. We met up with some friends and got to raft down the Colorado River for two hours on a picture perfect day.
Not only was it great to meet up with friends who I hadn’t seen for awhile, but it was also great to take part in activities that really are not very far away from home. The best part of the whole trip was coming home that night to our picturesque and charming valley here in Steamboat Springs. Like they say, there is no place like home.
