The aspen leaves are starting to change colors up here in the Yampa Valley and the best views of the valley (in my opinion) were from a historic bike tour that I look part in today. A group of us gathered to have lunch at Creekside Café and then tour town by bike to learn about the history of significant buildings, well-known landmarks and appreciate town on a bike. The day was perfect and so beautiful for our out of town guests. My favorite place on the tour had to be learning the history of the Crawford house, once home to James Harvey Crawford, who was Steamboat’s first settler. The house has such detail, beautiful wood work and a unique story. It was fun to learn some thing new about this town that I call home.
