How we get anything done in a town like Steamboat is beyond me. When it snows we yearn to hit the slopes using the term “powder clause” as reason for our absence, and on days like today, when the sky is the most beautiful blue and the air is fresh, all I can think about is getting outside for a long run or bike ride. There are so few bad weather days that it begs the question, are the citizens of Steamboat Springs exhibiting monk-like resistance as we make it through a productive day’s work?
The proof is in the pudding, as they say. In reality, our town works like a well oiled machine, shop keepers open on-time greeting visitors with the same level of enthusiasm day after day. I can’t think of a better place to get though the daily grind than Steamboat Springs.
